Ergonomic Bottle Carrier and Inverter Prototype

Overview
Developed a functional prototype of a mobile carrying device that solves a simple but real problem: safely transporting and inverting heavy 5-gallon water bottles. I ran the full engineering design process end to end, from interviewing the target population and brainstorming concepts to iterative prototyping and testing.
Design Process
Started with user interviews to understand pain points around lifting and inverting bottles, then sketched and refined concepts before building. The isometric sketch below shows the frame layout: a wheeled base, an angled handle for leverage, and a crate mount sized to hold the bottle steady during transport and inversion.
Results
The final prototype demonstrated ease of transport, stability during movement, and efficient bottle inversion. I collected user feedback from hands-on testing sessions to evaluate ergonomics, usability, and safety, and used that feedback to validate and refine the design.
